I am 27 years young!

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?                                                                                                                 

 I was born in Cleveland, Ohio but raised in Canton, Ohio.

WHAT COLLEGE DID YOU ATTEND?

I attended the illustrious Spelman College and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology in May of 2015.

DID YOU ENTER MEDICAL SCHOOL DIRECTLY FROM UNDERGRAD?                                 

Yes. I graduated undergrad May 2015 and entered medical school July 2015.

WHERE DID YOU GO TO MEDICAL SCHOOL?

I attended Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio and graduated in May 2019.

WILL YOU BE THE FIRST DOCTOR IN YOUR FAMILY?                                                     

Yes I am the FIRST Doctor in my family! I am so excited to begin the legacy of Physicians in my family!

WHERE DO YOU ATTEND RESIDENCY AND WHAT YEAR ARE YOU?

I am a newbie Intern resident in Kansas City, MO! GO Chiefs!

WHAT DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN?

I specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I have an immense interest in women’s health and I want to be an advocate for women in hopes that they will become empowered and ultimately become their own best advocates! I also have a desire to dedicate my career to working in underserved communities and combating the issues centered around maternal mortality in women of color and reproductive injustices.

HOW LONG IS OB/GYHN RESIDENCY?

The residency is 4 years long.

WHAT ARE YOUR POST RESIDENCY PLANS?

After residency, I will practice as a generalist!
